“The Facebook Application has been a huge success for Boston College. The big results came after we sent an email blast announcing the application. The response was overwhelming. We've had a 120% increase in weekly profile updates and a 100% increase in new registered users. One of the key things we've discovered is that the Facebook connection encouraged more registrations than would have occurred otherwise. It represents a great new avenue for alumni engagement, a key goal for our 150th Anniversary campaign, and we are continuing to promote the application in our chapter emails, reunion notices, alumni e-newsletter, and in the Boston College Magazine."
